These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Better Solar Installers Australia website and referral service ("Service"), operated by Better Solar Installers Australia ("we", "us", "our").

By using our website or submitting a quote request, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.

2. Our Service

Better Solar Installers Australia is a referral matching service only. We connect homeowners and property owners ("you") with independent, third-party solar and battery installation companies ("Installers") operating in your local area.

Important: We are not a solar installation company. We do not install solar panels or batteries, and we are not party to any contract between you and an Installer. Any agreement for installation work is solely between you and the Installer.

We make reasonable efforts to pre-vet our Installer network, including verifying relevant licences, insurance and customer feedback. However, we cannot guarantee the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any installation work carried out by an Installer.

3. Submitting a Quote Request

When you submit a quote request through our website, you:

  • Confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete
  • Consent to being contacted by us and/or your matched Installer by phone, SMS and/or email regarding your enquiry
  • Acknowledge that receipt of a quote is not an obligation to proceed with any installation
  • Acknowledge that quotes provided by Installers are independent of Better Solar Installers Australia

4. Government Rebates & Incentives

We may refer to government incentives such as the Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) scheme or state-based rebate programs. Any reference to rebates or incentives on our website is for general informational purposes only.

Rebate availability is subject to eligibility criteria, scheme rules, and government policy which may change at any time. We make no guarantee that you will qualify for any rebate or incentive. Your matched Installer can advise on current eligibility at the time of your quote.

5. No Warranty on Installer Services

While we take steps to vet our Installer network, we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, regarding:

  • The quality or fitness for purpose of any installation work
  • The accuracy of any quote provided by an Installer
  • The continued licence or insurance status of any Installer
  • The products or brands recommended or used by any Installer
  • Any savings or financial outcomes resulting from an installation

Any dispute regarding installation work, quotes, or products must be directed to the relevant Installer and, where applicable, to the relevant state or territory licensing authority or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and other applicable legislation:

  • Our liability to you in connection with this Service is limited to the re-supply of the referral service
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of this Service or any installation carried out by an Installer
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information about rebates, savings estimates, or system performance

Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you may have under the ACL that cannot be excluded by contract, including guarantees as to the supply of services.

7. Your Privacy

Your use of our Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos and layout, is the property of Better Solar Installers Australia and may not be reproduced, distributed or used without our prior written permission.
